Last of 2006..Start of 2007

2006 whizzed past so quickly..before I could stop to relish the bits and moments that made me who I am today.

Had lotsa first encounters in 2006. Hee...recalling them...here's a list of those I remembered.

1. Got my first bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. First time wearing a graduation gown, or some people call it academic dress, & motar board.
3. Embarked on my first permanent job of an engineer.
4. Received my first salary from a full time job.
5. Received my first AWS (though it's pro-rated..hmpf!).
6. First time to Taiwan.
7. My very first taste of fermented beancurd (Chou Dou Fu) in Taiwan! Freaking stinky! And it tasted like shit...literally s-h-i-t!!! I'll never want to put a piece of that in my mouth ever again..erpx! (x_x)
8. Completed my first thesis...my final year project:) *Proud*
9. First time winning Prof Sandy over. No questions asked during project presentation..woohoo!!

10. First business trip.
11. First trip to the States.
12. First time having hall warming night! Remember the yummy food! The great company! Hall 3 peeps....*smile*
13. First time staying all alone in a single room in hall 6.
14. First time renting hall illegal from a friend. *Grin* But thanks to her...it made my final year so much more convenientfor me going for lessons everyday.
15. First time having a Prof lend his PC, along with speakers and cd burner, to me...saviour to my final year final semester in hall. *Grateful*
16. First experience being a bridesmaid.
17. First time wearing a tube dress. That's probably the one and only dress I have since then till now. Haha...am I a boy or a girl? Girl la! Duh uh?!?!
18. Had a first punkish with a tinge of funky haircut early this year. Something new:) It's time to look for a new look soon.
19. Learning and adapting to living independent on this planet earth. The art of eating alone, running alone, working alone, shopping alone, studying alone etcetra.
20. My first time shedding tears from listening to radio dedication. That was from my little sister.
21. First time going overseas trip with Granny & Aunty:)
22. First time having people comment that I'm shrinking...(how I wish I'm continuing to do so).
23. First time I really and truly erased affections for someone. (I'm so proud of myself. Enlightenment:))
24. First time ZBB came to visit in hall.
25. First time helping a new found friend then with project using Solidworks. Sense of achievement...happy=)
26. First time Cherling stayed over my hall for a night. Girl-buddy night!
27. First trip out of Singapore with friends. Haha...I know that's really sua-gu..but it's really my first time!!! Fun!
28. First trip to Redang...blue waters...sunny sky...snorkel, kayak, fly kites, play bridge, kuku all day long...coooooool:)
29. First time on a 10 hours bus ride with bus running on 3 out of 10 bolts! Adventurous ride, haha!
30. The first time an immediate family member of a friend passed away. Was a new found friend then. Saddening memories...I hope everyone's coping well and healing. "Time doesn't always heal, but it makes the pain more bearable." ~ Something I always believe in.
31. First time mugging with Yufen, Fang, Charles & friends in LWN library everyday during the exam period. Nice:)
32. First time I lost touch with my emotions. Lost.
33. Had my first Convocation ceremony ~ graduation:)
34. First time having a Prof kneel in front of me offering me flowers...haha! (That was when playful Prof Butler trying to pose for a picture.)
35. The first time I watched Full House ~ 浪漫满屋!!! And I got addicted to the show! Nice nice nice! Kinda miss those days chasing the serial with Ah Ru & Ah Ling...and munching on tidbits! Wahaha!
36. The first time I was so demoralised, desperate, sad with low morale. That was job hunting for newbies I guess. Perseverance & patience is the way to go:)
37. First Shape Run with Ling! All women's run! They should have more of such runs! Cool!!
38. First non competitive run...more to come.
39. First formal interview for full time/permanent position.
40. First time supporting my alma mater in the Prime Minister's Cup - dragonboat girls.
41. First outdoor movie with Ling, ZBB & friends, by the Padang.
42. First time feeling valued and appreciated after so many interviews with so many companies. 43. First Sheares Bridge Run with Ah Ling, Ah Jing & Ah Ru:)
44. First time dealing with aircrafts...aircraft structures to be precise.
45. Pioneer lady engineer in NSPL. :)
46. First time kayaking to Coney Island.
47. First kayak expedition.
48. Bought Coach handbags the first time for Mummy & Aunts.
49. First time in bikini with Ah Ling. Heehee...no one else saw us though. *Grin*
50. First time terrorised by an unknown Ang Moh knocking, yelling, kicking, swearing & threatening outside my hotel room door and freaking me out in the middle of the night at 3am in Las Vegas! Scared the shit out of me:'( That was the first time I was left trembling through the night till I managed to fall asleep. Freak!!!
51. First bite on Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Vegas...supposedly one of the best doughnuts around.
52. First Abaris Training Course in Composite Bonding.
53. First time losing my luggage and left stranded without a hotel.
54. First hand experience in a commercial airplane pulling up when it was on the verge of landing. That's really a dangerous act by the pilot!
55. First overseas trip with colleagues only..and only guys. Hmm. Where're the gals?!?!
56. First time I missed home so bad.
57. First time I was hotel-phobic.
58. First time driving an automobile...a car! It moved as I want it to:) Hahaha!
59. First time signing up for runs and not being able to run it. Hmpf! It's ok...I'll be there in 2007!

Milestones that mark the turning point and transition to another phase in life...an eventful year not to be forgotten. Fortunate or unfortunate events, made me grow a little older...a little wiser maybe?...along with a wider perspective and different perception about stuff. More to learn in this new year, 2007! May it be a good year ahead accompanied with great accomplishments:) I wish...2007 will bring happiness, great health, wisedom, good luck, peace, love & joy to everyone...especially my family & friends out there! U...u...u and U! (^o^) Happy 2007!!!
