Project Superstar Grand Finals

I thought I won't get to go to the Indoor Stadium on Thursday. Feels somewhat like a twist in fate. The moment I finished posting my previous blog entry, CL called and said she's got the tix to Project Superstar Grand Finals! Feels funny...don't know why...but happy:) Thanx CL & her friend, Xin Tian! And I was still planning to go for my run & catch the live telecast on TV just minutes ago. Obviously I didn't go for my run *guilty look*...but nevermind, I ran today:p

Thursday was a real mad rush for me. The moment I got to know CL got the tix, I left NTU for home to pick up some necessary stuff and a neither bright blue nor red T for CL, then whizzed off to the Indoor Stadium. We wanted to look neutral la...though I'm more supportive of Kelly:p And when we stepped in there, we realised how near our seats were to the stage. It's the central strategic area where Weilian's fans sit. Gosh! Amongst the sea of blue, we were the few who're like sore thumbs sticking out. Damn paiseh! And with the mediacorp camera hovering above our heads, our location'll most probably be caught on TV. So the organisers got us to change our seats so as to make their picture "look good". So in events, got to learn how to bullshit a bit la huh, not WL's fan also nevermind, as long as they're in blue, to make the picture perfect, can liao. Ended up sitting with Jason's supporters, the one with the orange gloves. A bit diao (-_-") but it's alright la, free tix don't complain too much. Haha! Yimin's got the same sentiments as well.

Yeah! Got to know a new friend, Yimin, CL's friend. She's really a chirpy gal:) Found her quite cute too. She studies Industrial Design! Cool! The 2 of them kept asking me to go climb with them. *Laughs* I will 'ka you' like siao, me bad at defying gravity la, too fat! *LOL* Kayak la gals, kayak more fun:p

Ok, back to Superstar. I realised the teens there never get tired of screaming. Stunned! The 3 of us almost gone deaf that very night sitting with those young people. Hmm, not as if we're old, but they're relatively younger. Yimin & I were kind of tired already halfway through the show while those people can scream and wave non stop.

Anyway, I think both grand finalists did very well. Though I felt that Kelly definitely surpassed WL in terms of performance, vocal control, improvisation of songs & star quality. Kelly should have been the ultimate Superstar for obvious reasons & I believe WL won because of erhm..."obvious reasons" as well. No need to spell out la huh. Something I noticed after the result was announced that WL's the champ, I saw a couple of visually handicapped supporters of WL crying really emotionally. Think WL's win really created such a great impact on this group of people. Guess he represents hope to them, a miracle in Singapore's chinese pop industry and that Singaporeans actually are compassionate, not forgetting that he's talented as well.

Anyway, Kelly's got Universal Music! My sis & I think Universal Music's a better choice for Kelly:) Don't know leh...just got a feeling Universal Music (previously Polygram) is more established. Maybe Kelly's fans think likewise too, that's why they didn't vote as much. Haha, so we aren't sad. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

Kelly's turn...沙滩...Nice:) Her skirt reminds me of lion dance. My sis laughed at me cos of that. She says it's suppose to remind you of mermaid. Ok la, passed.

Round 5...I think Kelly looks gorgeous in this gown. It cost $3000 leh...and the Swarovski crystal necklace cost $5000, sponsored of cos. But I don't like the hairstyle again! I think the hairstylist that night got problem sia. Anyway, the song 被爱的女人 sounds great & Kelly could reach the high keys. But of cos Coco Lee's original version was a wee bit better. I'm going to search for Coco Lee's tracks over again.

Weilian & Kelly. Erhm, that hovering camera's irritating. It always blocks my view. Anyway, Kelly's so nice, she always makes sure WL's looking at the right camera & direction before she adjusts herself.

Aftermath of the show...hungry!!! Left with a cold, hard McChicken flattened by CL's laptop. Haha, anything goes when we're hungry. And metal mouth sunbear could tear the chicken patty! *Applause* Had real loads of fun at our "superstar excursion". *LOL* Feels like a kid once again:)
